The applet supports one player and two player mode, and also no players, that is, computer vs. computer, which is not only crazy to watch, but a fun thing to gamble on, if you enjoy such things. A six-move search depth Computer Vs Computer game can get quite intense! On a modern computer, a two-move search depth game will be instantaneous.

Instructions..

Move a piece by clicking on it. It will be backlit in orange, and then click on the target square. If there is a forced capture elsewhere, the piece will be backlit in blue. Watch out! It plays a mean game!

I found this nosing about amongst the code at the old MIT ai (artificial intelligence) FTP server, many years ago. Still works great! Enjoy!
